Frequently asked questions
What makes Tierralta coffee special?
We focus on single-origin, handpicked, fair trade specialty coffee — roasted at the origin for peak flavor, then imported in small, fresh batches.
Is the coffee ground or whole bean?
We currently offer whole bean coffee to preserve flavor and freshness. We recommend grinding just before brewing for the best experience.
What’s the roast date?
You will find the roast date printed on every bag. We import fresh-roasted coffee in small batches to ensure you always receive peak flavor.
How long will the coffee stay fresh?
Our coffee is best enjoyed within 3–4 months of roasting, but remains delicious for up to 6–9 months if stored properly.
How should I store the coffee?
Store your beans in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Reseal the bag tightly after opening. No need to refrigerate.
Where do you ship from?
We ship all orders from Delft, Netherlands. Your coffee goes directly from Colombia’s highlands to our hands — and then straight to your door.
What is the estimated delivery time?
For addresses in the Netherlands, orders typically arrive in 1–3 business days. You’ll receive a tracking link once your order is shipped.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs depend on your location and the number of bags you order. You’ll see the exact fee at checkout. We always aim to offer fair rates.
Do you ship outside the Netherlands?
Not yet, but we’re working on it! If you’re in the EU and eager to try our coffee, please email us at info@tierraltacafe.com, and we’ll be happy to help.
Can I return my coffee?
If there’s a problem with your order, let us know — we’re here to help. Due to food safety concerns, we can’t accept returns of opened bags, but we’ll always make it right if something is wrong.
Can I set up a subscription?
Soon! We’re working on a flexible subscription option that allows you to get your favorite coffee delivered on your schedule, along with a discount.
